Once upon a time...
Once upon a time not long ago I intended to strike out to give sports writing a go. Thankfully, before my senior year in college, I realized I would never make any money as a writer. I’m also not much of a lyricist and/or emcee.
Fast-forward 15 years, and I have a wife, kids, and a mortgage (read: no money), but I still want to write.
Substack seems like the perfect way for me to try to rebuild my writing muscle. I intend to post here at least twice monthly. What will I be posting? I can’t wait to find out.
Ideas/suggestions I’ve received include:
Launching Big Dan’s Raw Dog Titans Blog - a previously unrealized NFL/Tennessee Titans blog including my annual training camp “Dogs” i.e., longshots that for whatever reason I hope make the team.
The return of “Behind Closed Dores” - Vanderbilt sports news and commentary
Open letters to anyone/anything…
Metro Nashville Politics (I threw up a little)
Food and Beverage reviews
